Recipe: 5-minute cinnamon bun oatmeal
Healthier and heartier than it's doughy alternative, this sweet and spicy bowl of oats tastes as good as the real deal but is packed with good-for-you ingredients.

INGREDIENTS
Oatmeal
- 1 cup milk of choice (dairy, almond, etc.)
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats (not instant)
- 1/2 small ripe banana, mashed
- 1 tbsp chia, flax or hemp seeds
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch sea salt
Topping
- 2 tsp pure maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp vanilla-flavoured Greek yogurt
- 3 pecans, chopped
DIRECTIONS
1 In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium-high heat until barely simmering.
2 Reduce the heat to low. Add the oats, banana, chia seeds, cinnamon and sea salt. Cook, stirring, for 3 minutes or until the oats reach your desired consistency. Remove from the heat and spoon into a serving bowl.
3 To make the topping, combine the maple syrup and cinnamon in a small bowl. Drizzle the maple syrup mixture and the yogurt over the oatmeal. Top with the chopped pecans; serve.
Makes: 1 serving
