Managing editor and resident crafter Catherine Therrien uses the season’s hottest trend – studs! – to embellish shiny black glasses, creating makeup holders with a dose of sass and sophistication.


Materials

• Wire cutters
• Silver thumbtacks
• Glue gun
• Black (or coloured) drinking glasses

Directions
1 Determine your geometric design. If you’re embellishing multiple glasses, think about doing a different design for each one.

2 Cut the ends off of the thumbtacks using a pair of wire cutters. Wear safety goggles.

3 Carefully apply a dab of hot glue to the back of the thumbtack and hold against the glass for a few seconds. Repeat until the design is complete.
