quick home update: shelves
Here's a quick and easy update for tired old shelves! I was inspired one afternoon by a remnant roll of wallpaper, and took on a pair of ten-year-old shelves I was a smidge sick of. And it was simple!
First, I wrapped each shelf like a present, carefully gluing the seams on the back corner edges, where they'd be least visible. Next, I took four 12" x 16" canvases (purchased at the Dollar Store) and wrapped them in the same style I wrapped the first, this time leaving the seam and folded edges glued to the back. Third, I measured and marked the placement on my wall, centring the whole set up between my desk and the ceiling, and spacing the elements as close together as possible. Y voilà! Giving a little love to some lacklustre shelves goes a long way, don't you think?
