This past Saturday was the perfect day for the Christie Antique Show. The sun was shining, the ground was dry and the park was packed with treasure hunters. This is always one of my favourite shows of the season. While you should expect higher price points at Christie, compared to other shows, the vendors showcase their best merchandise ensuring that you take home quality pieces, worth every penny.   Here are some of the pieces that caught my eye…     This kind of show is a great place to find unique artwork for your home. Whether you’re looking for original art, prints, or posters, you’ll find it all. The great thing about these particular finds is that even though the subject matter differs, these pieces could easily live in the same space. An eclectic interior can easily turn into a mis-matched mess, if you’re not careful. The key to pulling it off is looking for linking elements between pieces. In this case, the use of yellow allows these three works of art to play nice in the same room.     I’ve been a long time admirer of this style of wine rack. Unfortunately, my kitchen won’t accommodate such a large piece. I hope this stunner went to a good home!   This booth was my fave…     SMASH had a booth at this year’s show and it was filled to the brim with vintage goodies. We’re talking furniture, decor and lighting, some of which had not yet even hit the store’s showroom floor. I don’t know what I would do with them, but I really wanted to scoop up all of those little industrial stools. And, come on, how cool are those chalkboards?
